چکیده

Water is a precious natural resource for sustaining life, agriculture and environment. The dependability on groundwater has reached high in all time recent decades due to reasons such as unreliable supplies from surface water vagaries of monsoon, increase demand domestic, agricultural other purposes. Karnataka largely dependent meet industrial, municipal, domestic irrigation needs. So, Rainwater harvesting (RWH) forms an important component development management resources agricultural, municipal industrial uses. Management scanty rain fall by harvesting, Augmentation depleting (deeper ground table) poor-quality scope conjunctive/domestic use need the hour. With withdrawal water, (GW) table declining at rapid pace with urgent recharge GW addition dilute poor quality water. Double ring technique Groundwater Recharge consists filtering different layers using gradation materials generally pebbles size synthetic material wrapped around casing pipe. By recharging into point soaking infiltration gallery established Irrigation Research Centre, (IWMRC) Belavatagi Tq: Navalagund shown encouraging results far quality, discharge are concerned. assessment influence through rainwater yield (lps), (dS/m) fluctuations (feet bgl) during year 2020, have that 3.35 lakhs liters could be collected 2020. Also, 7 events (rain July October 2020), it was observed considerable rise more than 100 feet below level 22 level, drastic reduction salinity i.e. electrical conductivity (EC) 10 dS/m average 1.32 tube well significantly increased 0.4 lps 2.4 lps. Therefore, Artificial techniques can better strategic approach combat emerging problems scarcity especially over exploitation its deterioration.

Groundwater modeling for estimation of the recharge rate and identification of appropriate recharge sites in Damghan Plain, Iran

Water is the main option of any development, so having an accurate management of groundwater is necessary. This study has been done in Damghan sedimentary plain in Iran, which is located in northwest of Semnan Province. The main objective of this research was to estimate the rate and right site of recharge in Damghan plain to prevent the aquifer from decreasing the water table. For this purpose...

Groundwater Recharge Assessment: a Key Component of River Basin Management

Groundwater recharge estimates are required for the management of river basin districts under the new Water Framework Directive. Different recharge estimation techniques are described in this paper according to the following categories: inflow estimation, aquifer response analysis, outflow estimation and catchment water balance. Examples of their application in Ireland are provided. All estimat...

Artificial recharge of groundwater: hydrogeology and engineering

Artificial recharge of groundwater is achieved by putting surface water in basins. furrows, ditches, or other facilities where it infiltrates into the soil and moves downward to recharge aquifers. Artificial recharge is increasingly used for shortor long-term underground storage. where it has several advantages over surface storage, and in water reuse. Artificial recharge requires permeable sur...

Global-scale modeling of groundwater recharge

Long-term average groundwater recharge, which is equivalent to renewable groundwater resources, is the major limiting factor for the sustainable use of groundwater. Compared to surface water resources, groundwater resources are more protected from pollution, and their use is less restricted by seasonal and inter-annual flow variations. To support water management in a globalized world, it is ne...
